This is the peak of Oregon's Mount Hood, taken at an altitude of about 8,000 feet. On the sunny side, you can see the artificial ski slopes they create during summer. On the right, you can see the remains of this volcano’s dying glaciers. The lovely warm colors and shadows are courtesy of clear skies and the setting sun.
