Walking through this World War 2 monument I found myself with some contrasting emotions. On one hand, it was a very impressive structure in a beautiful place that makes you feel like you’re part of an awesome sci-fi film. And on the other hand, when you understand that this monument was built to remember the battle of Sutjeska, where over 7000 people were killed, most of whom were civilians; it gives you a totally different appreciation and respect for the structure around you. Physical size of this monument aside, it makes you feel small and I feel this photo represents that quite well.
