This Philippine Sail-fin lizard is eating the shed skin of a Burmese Python (which can be seen in the background). This is interesting behaviour which I have not seen or heard of before. The shed skin would contain protein. The lizard struggled with it, but after a while, managed to break off and eat a piece of the skin. There are two pythons in the enclosure, a Burmese and an even larger Reticulated Python. The lizards have nothing to worry about because the pythons only eat warm-blooded prey.
