An early morning visit to Charlecote Park found the extensive deer herd in front of the main entrance to this Elizabethan country house which is close to Stratford-upon-Avon. An extremely cold night had caused the deer which normally stay in the park to come to the house looking for feed. Charlecote is a 16th century country house and played an important part in English history.
