After moving to Vancouver from the UK, we took a trip to Garibaldi Lake. The hike to the lake was approximately four hours - as we reached the end, we could see glimpses of the most perfect blue I have ever seen. We started to run and as we turned a corner, this beautiful vista met us. We sat and ate our lunch on a jetty in perfect silence. I new, at that moment, that British Columbia was meant to be my home.
