I love the patterns on this type of fish. In most places they are called Napoleon fish, but in Australia they are called Maori wrasse because the patterns resemble traditional New Zealand Maori tattoos. They are very intelligent fish, and some scuba divers say these fish seem to be able to recognize individual divers. The quality of the photo is not quite as good as I would like, because the photo is taken through thick perspex in low light, but it is good enough to see the patterns.
