Barramundi Cod. These fish seem to spend much of their time floating motionless with their heads facing down. This may make it harder for predators to spot them. The dark spots on a light background blend well into a background of coral with holes in it, and predators may be tuned in to see a fish which is typically horizontal and not vertical, and of course keeping still helps to avoid detection.
