Living in the high desert near Santa Fe, New Mexico, winters can be cold and dry. There’s not much water for the birds and, when they find water, its often frozen. We have a heated birdbath and birds flock to it all day. This mountain bluebird is watching from a nearby tree and waiting for an opening to get in and drink.
