Usually the average life of the fly is 20 to 25 days. Not all flies lay eggs. Some species are ovoviviparous, the eggs hatch inside the mother, so that the offspring go outside already in the form of larvae. Their ability to escape is due to the fact that they have a sophisticated defense system that makes them anticipate the movements of their attacker and respond with very fast movements of about 200 milliseconds.
