beige stairs

A wooden staircase in a castle monastery. Staircases are built to facilitate movement in directions other than straight. Movements that otherwise would require us to fly. Humans are crippled as flyers. We are jealous of flying creatures. But we are engineers. Real devils. So we build airplanes, parachutes, kites, space shuttles. And of course staircases. We fly a little when we climb up a staircase. This photo is an abstraction of movement since no one is moving on the staircase. Something like a clear sky without birds flying. Movement is only dreamed of in the mind and soul of the observer.
