beige and brown mountain

Photo number 5 from my series on the Painted Hills. This section of the Painted Hill Unit at the John Day Fossil Beds is often overlooked. There were 100 photographers at the main hills but I was the only one looking at this beauty. Those colors really appear in real life, especially in the evening. This smaller hill has beautiful bands of white and because of the time of year, a nice green layer of vegetation. Who knew nature was so sexy??
