At the southernmost edge of Preveza city in Greece, in the Kyani Akti area, stands the imposing Pantokrator Castle. Built in 1807 by Ali Pasha of Ioannina upon the foundations of an earlier Venetian fort, its strategic purpose was to control the entrance to the Ambracian Gulf. The castle was named after the Church of the Pantokrator (Almighty), which originally stood on the site and was later rebuilt within the castle walls. Today, it serves as a cultural landmark and a popular spot for strolling, offering unique views of the Ionian Sea, especially during sunset.
