My friends and I were road-tripping up Highway 1 on the Californian coast, from LA to San Francisco. By an extraordinary stroke of good fortune and generosity we got the chance to stay for a night in a beautiful forest cabin in Big Sur. The next day we drove along the famous, winding coast road for miles until we stumbled across this oasis amongst oases - McWay Falls. A beach, cliffs, a waterfall, a tropical looking inlet, and beyond; the endless Pacific. Well played, California.
