The sculpture is of the symbol for the Royal Dublin Society. It is the Roman goddess Minerva holding a spear and a cornucopia and a shield beside her with the motto, "Nostri plena laboris" (our full work) and a harp (a long-held symbol of Ireland). Beneath is "Hibernia," the classical Roman name for Ireland, and a caption which describes the sculpture as a very "moving" one (Aug, 2017).
