Original oil painting. Famous Bridge House in the Town of Ambleside (In Viking, aembel said, NW Town) England. Built in the late 16-17 hundreds by Mr Braithwaite, first as an Apple Store to straddle Stock Ghyll. He took exception to property Taxes levied. Painted by hundreds of artists, the most famous being Turner. It was also used as a dwelling house. It has one small room upstairs and one downstairs. In AD79 the first building in the area was a Roman a fort at Waterhead to guard a route between Ravenglass and Brougham near Penrith. The main income in the 16-17 hundreds was wool.
