a painting of a path through a forest

Winters frozen forest. Early morning. I remember our woods being just like this on a winter morning so cold your fingers and toes quickly froze when you were out horse riding. The air was so cold you could see the ponies breathe and when they got hot, their bodies actually steamed around you. Magical days. With tons more work. Because hot horses have to be cooled down slowly before your return to the stables.
