Nofar Gabai (נופר גבאי) was Kurdish, Jewish, and Israeli. She born in 1991 into a family of Jews from Kurdistan, and grew up in a town nearby Jerusalem. In 2011, she joined the Israeli military. She served proudly until 2012, when she was shot dead while on duty. Today, her grave is at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
