A panoramic view of new residential development in Wong Chuk Hang and Nam Long Shan (shan means hill) in the Southern District on HKIsland. Ocean Park is located in Nam Long Shan, that is the green hill. Sham Wan (wan means cove) is the harbor in front of Wong Chuk Hang, which forms a part of the Aberdeen typhoon (storms similar to hurricanes) shelter, which means a shelter harbor for boats. With good protection, Aberdeen is one of the earliest developed area. Two yacht clubs in Sham Wan, i.e. Sham Wan Yacht Club and Aberdeen Yacht Club, with lots of pleasure boats and yachts.
