Harlequin ducks (males and a female) floating near the rocky coast of Northern Massachusetts. All wildlife is interesting, but Harlequin Ducks are really something special! These small ducks live in some of the most extreme landscapes that North America has to offer. They seek out rough and rocky waters during winter on the coast, and fast-moving rivers during breeding season. Not to mention, male Harlequins showcase some of nature’s most striking colors.
