a galaxy in space

This picture was taken from my courtyard in Copenhagen from bortle 8 skies. Its a picture of the Veil Nebula complex. The whole structure also goes by the name: Cygnus Loop and the objects within have their own names. Ironnically the part on the right is called the Western Veil, as well as 'The Witch's Broom' and 'The Finger of God' as a direct reference to Michelangelo's famous mural painting. The middle part is called 'Pickering's Triangle' and the part on the left is of course called, the Eastern Veil. It is the remnants of a supernova explosion so massive that it could be seen in daytime!
