Introducing Trixie our Pembroke Corgi, in 1968-78. Standing as if she won Crufts. A red-colored Corgi with an iconic fairy harness, short-cropped tail, and back rough. A friend to all, she never bit anyone. Not even the postman. This is Derwent Water's English Lake District. A place she knew well from puppy to old, old lady. Corgi's were thought to have been brought to the UK by the Vikings. They called them Valhund, which simply means small dog. They were used to herd cattle, being nimble and small enough to avoid kicks. Many Corgi's still gently heal-nip and affectionately herd their family.
