A hairy field. This is a *very* close view of a bee! If you have seen a bee that looks fuzzy or hairy, this is what it looks like up close. The width of each hair is about 1 micron, which is 0.001mm, or 0.0000393701 inches. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).
