As Josh and I were walking through Curry Village, looking for a formidable route to attempt, I stopped to work a small crack on the side of a boulder. As I finished, I looked to the side to see Joshua standing before a Giant, working the beta out in his head before he slid his climbing shoes on and hopped on the start. It was a special moment of calm intensity as I knew what was coming next.
