Over the Edge

I had just walked along the river, above the falls, when I had come up to the upper level observation deck of the Horseshoe Falls. The cool mist hitting my face mixing with the freezing air and the pounding of the water plummeting over the falls made me feel on edge. But, right as it was about to go over the falls it almost felt as if it was in slow motion. The loud sound of the water plunging over the falls almost didn’t match the water cascading over the edge. It was mesmerizing and made me feel as if I was in another world away from the tourism centered city of Niagara Falls.
