Sometimes it’s not easy to photograph pets. They are either always in the way, or they never cooperate. This was the exact opposite — my shepherd Walter was still enough to let me get a sharp macro focus; sharp enough that I got a clear reflection of myself. The equipment and lenses weren’t exactly great either. All manual focus, cheap extension tubes, a really shaky tripod setup. All odds were stacked against this happening.
