Water lovers from all over the world come to Palau to visit their iconic Jellyfish Lake. This secluded body of water is not directly connected to the sea and as such contains a uniquely evolved subspecies of Golden jellyfish that has nearly lost its ability to sting due to the lack of predators. The natural color of the water is often quite green because of all the phytoplankton, so I selectively colored this jelly to accentuate its delicate structure and luminescent appearance.
