The Chinese Antarctic research icebreaker Xuelong 2 visited Hong Kong for an historic five-day visit. It is the world's first icebreaker to install a bidirectional and 360° free rotation technique so that it can navigate in icy water more efficiently. It's opened to registered visitors to go on board and understand its operations. The 40th Chinese Antarctic Scientific Expedition Team on board also visited Hong Kong for the first time as the first stop during its return journey back to Chinese water.
