Praying mantis

I took this photo at the Proud Hotel in Thailand Phuket. It was around 11AM and I saw the mantis on a leaf. The mantis is not very large and the light was limited. The praying mantis is named for its prominent front legs, which are bent and held together at an angle that suggests the position of prayer.
