Manitoba Maple Seed Cluster Against Winter Sky

We’d had over a week of overcast skies. Snow was light, but steady. Finally, woke up to clear and cold. Most maple trees drop their seeds in fall along with their leaves. Manitoba maples hold on to their seeds until spring. Oh, some of them break loose in a strong wind, and some are harvested by nut eating birds and of those some are scattered into the woods to start the cycle over again.
