Straw pyramid

We were cycling from Kiev to Cherkasy in Ukraine. When we just claimed from Kaniv to the right bank of the Dnieper we saw some giant pyramids on the horizon. We decided to deviate from the path and take a look what is this. Approaching closer, we found that it’s pyramids of straw bales! I had never seen so huge amount of straw and I had not idea how it could be used. But then an owner of this farm, who was there, explained us that it’s used for growing mushrooms.
