It was day 3 of the road trip from STL to San Francisco. We’d driven about 28 hours at this point and then we saw the sign… “Lake Tahoe National Forest” We drove up to a viewing point and stepped out of the car. The fresh air filled our lungs and our bodies felt renewed. The view was breath-taking. This photo gives me peace. It reminds me that even in a world that often seems so broken, there is so much beauty left to be discovered.
