Light Painting

I wanted to get some hero shots after the latest round of modifications on this customised Triumph Bonneville SE. I was keen to try out a technique called ‘light painting’ which involved placing the motorcycle in a pitch black garden, setting a slow shutter speed and ‘painting’ the bike close up with light from a torch. The effect is very dramatic as the light accentuates the beautiful shapes of the motorcycle. Taking this photo was a great way to while away a dark winter’s evening!
