On a recent solo break in Paris, I visited the Galeries Lafayette for a spot of shopping. Little did I know that they had a free-of-charge viewing platform on the top floor which offered amazing scenes of the city (and Eiffel Tower). Parisian architecture is simply beautiful and is a welcome change from what I see in London every day.
