a night with my dad and his side of the family

Despite my father abandoning me and my little brother, he is finally starting to appear in little sections in my life now that I am in college. “Perhaps its because of where I study, perhaps its because I am finally shining bright enough for him,” I thought to myself this night. Then these thoughts were obliterated upon seeing the light of the carousel. The carousel reminded me that he is nothing but a spectator like the dark figures in the image who one day hopes to contribute to a structure so vivid and full of potential energy.
