I’d planned a one-week trip to Tokyo for the sole purpose of cherry blossom viewing, and I arrived one week too early. On my last day in Tokyo, I took a stroll down the Meguro River hoping to see an odd tree that had managed to bloom early, only to discover that overnight a huge portion of the trees had burst into bloom! It was incredibly magical and moves me to even think about how beautiful it was to walk under rows and rows of flowering trees that resembled falling snow.
