The Fens in Norfolk are flat. Very flat. The skies are huge. The verges (side of the roads and walkways) are full of bushy green plants and white wild flowers. On a long day, there's something magical about a restful laze in a verge. You can lie in the soft green undergrowth and see nothing but the sky and the tops of the of long grasses.
