One particularly cold morning in January of 2011, the sun was shining brightly in Juneau Alaska. Since the sunshine in Juneau is a rare occasion, I grabbed my camera, bundled up and walked around the grounds of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, where I was assigned at the time. As I came up the walk between the original Rectory (built in 1898) and St Nicholas (built in 1897) I saw a particularly long icicle hanging down. It made an interesting view and I tool a number of shots of the icicle and the bell-tower. This is my favorite.
