The Colours of Warmth

When the words warm or cozy are mentioned I am reminded of the colourful material belonging to one of the most vibrant tribes in the nation of Kenya- the Maasai. During my decade-long stay on the edge of the great Rift Valley, I used this exceptionally comfortable blanket for a whole number of things, ranging from sunny picnics in thick grass to chilly evening walks through purifying fog. This photo is a calming reminder of some of my fondest memories, which took place on this very fabric.
