black building under clear sky during daytime

I missed a bus by 3 minutes and had 2 hours to kill before I was able to be picked up. So I wandered. Liverpool’s waterfront has had lots of development in recent years and the mixture of classical and contemporary architecture is interesting. This building is Mann Island. I’m not sure of it’s purpose but I love its brutal contrast to the sky. It always reminds me of the headquarters of a super villain.
