On a stroll in Big Meadow in Shenandoah National Park in late November, I was heading back when I spotted this trio of deer some distance away against the low light of the setting sun. They were headed my way and I kept shooting as they walked past just feet away from where I was standing. I got some good close-ups, but the earlier shots such as this one backlit against the sun and with the grass seeds all aglow best capture the magic of the moment.
