I was hiking up to a set of Waterfalls we called “4th Falls. ” I was tired so I looked ahead and saw a break in the path, and an opening in the trees. I walked ahead and peered over the edge. All that could be seen was the sun beaming down on this spot in the river. Being in the mountains is one of my favorite places, and each time I see this photo I remember back to that clearing in the trees, where the heavens opened up to this miraculous sight.
