Sanibel treasure

We were on Bowman’s Beach, Sanibel Island, FL. There are piles of seashells, a foot deep for a quarter mile. You see people hunting for their favorite shell shape, the conch-shape is mine. I especially love the shells with barnacles, as they tell a story of their life under the ocean. These shells were homes to periwinkles before they washed ashore for a lucky human to find.
