The day of Hurricane Madeline (Level 4). We stayed in an air bnb in the Waipio valley. It was frightening, exhilarating, wild, and awakening. We lost power, had no internet, and barely any water. Total strangers shared their food with us and offered us friendship in times of uncertainty. They shared the tales of the land and their personal experiences. A reminder of memories one create in the brink of an almost disaster.
