As a food blogger, I spend a lot of time photographing cooked dishes. But lately I’ve been drawn to raw ingredients in their natural state. I just fell in love with these artichokes in the market one day and even though I didn’t need them for a recipe and even though they were a little pricey, I was moved to try and capture their story. To me, they seem so confident in their beauty, imperfect as it is. And so calm and peaceful in this rustic setting.
