The View From On High

I’m filling up on my bucket later this summer, by putting something from my list inside. With my family, I’ll be hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru. To make sure I won’t fall over sideways on my way along the trail, I’ve begun hiking up local mountains. Considering this is the Piedmont area of North Carolina and we’ve got, at best, foothills, the choices for mountains to climb has been a bit sparse. My friend and I decided to charge up the steep path to Crowder’s Mountain outside Gastonia in North Carolina. This is the view from the top, with Charlotte in the distance.
