Doing a mayan ritual before the ancestral ball game in downtown Merida, the chaman prayed and cleansed all the people, asking for the offering of the game to be accepted by the gods and for good fortune to all of us. It was so intense, it was not a performance, this guy was doing it for real. You could feel his connection to other realities and that made the night magic.
