The Last Bloom of Spring
This has been a rough year for the cherry blossoms in Washington DC. I didn’t get to see them until the day after peak bloom. The blossoms usually die quickly after peak bloom, so I knew time was of the essence. I couldn’t have picked a better time if I tried. I walked down after work and walked along the basin as the sun began to set. The 7pm light gave the trees a warm glow and I knew I had a good picture on my hands.
