My family and I traveled from Central Ohio to the Kentucky / Tennessee state line to see the eclipse. We had planned on stopping at the Tennessee Welcome Center on I-65 South, but it seemed that a lot of other people had that idea as well. The entrance to the Welcome Center was closed. We ended up stopping on a service road by an exit ramp and setting up in time to see most of the eclipse leading up to the totality phase. We met people from all over, including Canada and Alabama. I’m so glad we made the trip instead of settling for a partial eclipse at home.
