After driving on the highway for hours I spotted this lake on the map, thinking it would be a good place to stop for lunch. We pulled onto the dirt road and made our way to the privately owned Electra Lake. The rolling clouds, the slow rhythm of the water, and the beautiful mountain landscape made for a refreshing stop on our long drive. This is the first spot I thought, “Yeah, I could get used to Colorado.”
