This is a shot on our way into the city of Kalimpong. There is a lot of houses surrounding the city and they are built on top of one another and very close together. There is no land or zoning ordinances in India and they just build where ever they can buy land. Kalimpong is a built up city for the mountain regions because Scottish missionaries stopped here on their way to minister in the surrounding countries. They have many schools, hospitals and shops. It is a beautiful place with beautiful people, rich culture and colorful sights.
